Don't Get Caught Sleeping in the Tel Building on the Weekend

Motherfucker

Im just gonna chalk this up as another reason why things just don't make any sense.

1. My locker is in the S building.

2. The S Building is PHYSICALLY CONNECTED to the Tel Building (picture this in your head)

3. I was doing some reading in the Tel Building.

4. I finished my reading, and decided it was time to go home.

5. Some how, they locked the S building.

6. I end up stuck in the Tel building with all my shit still in the S building.

Nice.

Thanks for that top-notch security.

Make sure no delinquents slip in and piss in the staircase when nobody is looking on a Saturday evening.

I ain't complaining tho - that's what time it is.

Welcome to 2007. Planet Earth.

Winter.

Cold as fuck.

Especially when somebody locked your coat inside the school.

Fuckers.

Problems Problems Problems

It looks like its gonna take time to get into the rhythm of this art shit.

Every time I go to do something, there is always something missing or something out of place.

Here is a list of things (aside from the previously mentioned photo-upload problems):

1. it is a pain in the ass to lug all this shit around
2. i still don't even understand fully how my camera works
3. i sat down to do my sketches but i forgot the pencil sharpener
4. i don't understand how to draw in 3 dimensions

i will list more as they come up

my triangle ruler busted

the case for the DVX-100 is 20 times bigger than the actual camera and it doesnt fit in my locker

foam core boards cost less than 3 bucks at Loomis instead of the 6 bucks they charge in the store at school

aside from that these projects are pretty enlightening and got me looking a bit differently at stuff

Evolution of a Project - Part 4

Image #6 - School Library - January 26 - circular base for partition - provides foundation

Image #7 - School Library - chair wheels keep things moving - lying flat, the circular shape provides foundation - on its side, the circular shape allows movement - interesting

Next step: Sketch images

Step 3: Select 1 image and photocopy it

Step 4: Mount photocopied image on to foam core base using rubber cement

Evolution of a Project - Part 3

Image #5 - Taken at College - January 26 - the bottom of a row of lockers feature extended rectangles with circular edges

Image #4 - Jane and Finch again

Evolution of a Project Part 2

Image #2 + 3 - taken in the AM at the corner of Jane and Finch, Wednesday January 24.

The Evolution of a Project

The mission is to compile a set of 7 circular objects below knee level.

Photos have already been taken. The problem is uploading them.

All the files (each picture) is more than 1MB in size.

This will take decades for a page to load, but it will have to do for now until I can figure out how to make the photo transfer to a smaller size without having to manually do it (if that is possible).

Experimenting with Adobe Illustrator

This past week I've been experimenting with Adobe Illustrator and design basics:
