Collage - Jazz Festival Project

For 2D Typography class we are doing a advertising campaign for a Jazz Festival


im actually pretty well underway on this project so i will be posting up some near-complete material soon

i recently put a collage together for this project - a segment of it will be forming the background of the poster (which will be 11 x 17")

here is the collage (which was of course too big to fit on the scanner so i could get it done in 1 scan) -




collages are pretty fun

grabbing resources and dismantling the shit out of them and then rearranging them to get some desired effect of which you take a sample

Story-Boarding - First 10 Panels

well

i got a 7 out of 10 for my first story-boarding assignment which is kind of shit
but
i understand where dude was coming from

also:
my abilities are not up to par

and perhaps the lack of enthusiasm for getting that good copy done was apparent

also - its possible that the lack of complexity had something to do with it as well


i guess its up to me to reach back for a little something extra and figure out a way to get inspired for that course


our next assignment was to story-board the first 10 panels for our story which involves that animated character

actually - i ended up re-doing the panels with the small post-it notes on it

it turned out decent



i still gotta find a angle on this shit that will keep me motivated
