What's Up?

yeah yall

season winding down

plans in motion

busy busy

i am jumping the gun on next semester and learning Flash now

i have no patience and showing up to all these events with no portfolio is starting to get on my nerves

linked up with a couple people from class and the seeds of a potential business co-op have been planted

exciting times right now

mind is sparked with tons of ideas

workin off not much more than 4 hours sleep a night lately - not because its busy but just because things is exciting

today i will be digging into action script and hopefully in a short while - this blog will be something worth checking up on

as far as school goes - this week will consist of a few updates - namely how the skate board turned out (which is pretty good)
as well as the final touches on the Tag project which was started and worked out way back in February

as i said - my focus has shifted from school and on to other things
but
maintaining my productivity in class as a matter of business

times they are changing

dont get left in the dust

Sunday - Overcast and Rainy

but i am radiant and warm on the inside

today is going to be the source of some much needed research posing as relaxation

i may look like i am just kicking back and chillen

but intergalactic poles are shifting on the inside

never judge a crook by its leather

no but seriously -

Here are some brief music reviews:

2 albums you do not want to sleep on:

Holocaust aka. Alcatraz aka. Robot Tank aka...

Album title: Blue Sky Black Death Presents: The Holocaust

i was wondering where this dude disappeared to - this album is a banger

i am not gonna rant and rave about it because that never seems to accomplish much - but this album will be getting heavy rotation over the next month

Holocaust' style is another one of those styles you never heard before, and with the production everything really comes together on this album

next:

Nature Sounds Presents: Natural Selection v2.0

Great production and some real bangers

the tracks that stand out:
R.A. the Rugged Man
Hell Razah, Talib Kweli, MF Doom
Pete Rock
and all the Wu-Tang joints (at least 3 of them)

all in all, its a short album - 10 tracks with vocals + 2 instrumental tracks

but still some great nourishment for the ear

easy

Super-Mega Blog Update

not that many people are actually keeping track of this stuff -

but dear sweet mother of god it has been a busy week

i didnt think it would be
but somehow this week got wild after my last blog update on wednesday

today is Saturday

that means i did not have any time to throw in a worthwhile blog update between wednesday and now

i had time to update the blog - just nothing worthwhile with any pictures, etc

so
i am going to be posting a whole bunch of shit today

its 4:10 pm

lets see how much i can get up here before i get kicked out of this library by 5...

Keeping a Blog takes Dedication

so here is a cop out and a link to a pertinent article:

5 Technologies That Will Make An Impact in 2007 (thats this year)

Soon to come updates:

- 9 Warriors Logos done of which i need to choose 6
- big update on the tag project including a deeper look into the in-line skate industry (im a thorough mofo)
- also some research done on printing possibilities
- collage work for Multimedia Design class

plus some other odds and ends

i took more video walking thru a mall, but it was basically the same as the last one

also i have another little investigative report to post up here

time flies
especially when you are committed to posting on a blog that is spiralling to no-where (or who-knows-where)

Warriors Logo Redux

I worked on one of the logos I posted yesterday again in order to get something that looked better

Fortunately things worked out:

Im gonna put my current total at 4 subtracting the trashy looking matrix joint.

2 more

The outer space one was definitely the most inspired

we will see what happens

on a unrelated note and of no interest to anything but my digestive system, i am going to be eating a lot of spring rolls tonite

Multimedia Design assignment

Today's assignment for Multimedia Design class was to do some sketches.3 3 x 3" squares
select a object
sketch it so 3 points are touching the border
then crop it in the other 2 panels

i chose scissors because i am the apex when it comes to creativity and imagination (scissors was actually one of the options listed on the assignment sheet).
Next task was to draw a 5 x 5" square and take a segment of the first task and draw it repetitively and precisely.

I was not too successful at precision.

If you can't tell what that design is, its from the round part of the handle on the scissors.

It came out as a wavy pattern.

The last task was to select a bunch of items and arrange them in a manner where they fill up the 6 x 6" panel.
In this picture you will see:
- extension cords
- tacs
- glue stick
- slice of pineapple
- container of lead refills
- screw driver
- fork
- x-acto knife blade
- headphones

plus a assortment of subliminal messages designed to help you relax

you know how i do

eventually when i post up my work, i am gonna see if i can figure out how to connect it to something else and make it pertinent

(that was just a note-to-self - you can ignore it)
